D.T. LIGHT POST®
Fiber Post
Fiber Posts are constructed
from unidirectional, pre-tensed fibers bound in an epoxy
resin matrix. This design produces a post with flexural
strength exceeding that of metal posts but with a modulus of
elasticity very close to that of dentin. The low modulus
dissipates stress rather than transferring and concentrating
stress in the residual root structure as with cast or
prefabricated metal posts. Fiber Posts are intimately bonded
to the tooth structure and core composite and their passive
taper respects tooth morphology and conserves tooth
structure.
The D.T. LIGHT-POST features a double-taper design that provides adaptation to a prepared canal. Fiber optic construction allows light to be transmitted through the post so it can be cemented with light-cured or dual-cured materials. The translucency allows the post to be used under all restorations without masking or opaquers. Radiopacity allows the post to be seen clearly on a radiograph.
ÆSTHETI-PLUS POST's universal A2 dentin shade makes them ideal for use with all-ceramic restorations. These posts can be used with light-cured or dual-cured adhesives.
